Description: The 230 ft x 1000 ft column-free space of the main hangar is framed using three-dimensional arch trusses. Other spaces include an IMAX theater, observation tower, space hangar, side galleries, and other public and administration spaces.
	Nauticus, the National Maritime Center Norfolk, Virginia Architects: Centerbrook Architects Shriver Holland Architects Description: This state of the art, hands-on museum includes a ship's bridge, aquarium, wave experiments, a theater, and other public spaces. The structure is designed (without expansion joints) to extend and tilt columns toward one end.
